FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Why shouldn't we just do the porting in-house?
Focus. Your senior developers are creative experts, but porting is a different, highly technical skill. After a long development cycle, forcing your core team into "boring" optimization is a direct path to burnout. Outsourcing to a dedicated development team lets your core staff stay creative, loyal, and focused on your next hit.
We're a mobile studio. What's the benefit of porting to PC/Steam?
You tap into a new, high-growth revenue stream as the mobile market stagnates. Mobile developers are our ideal partners: you have a proven hit and financial resources, but often zero experience with the PC ecosystem. We bridge that gap, handling everything from Steam integration to adapting game economy and mechanics for a premium (pay-once) audience.
What's the main risk of choosing a cheap porting partner?
Reputation damage. A "bad port" with poor performance, bad controls, or bugs doesn't just fail to sell - it actively harms your IP's reputation and your studio's brand. As a professional game porting studio, we protect your asset by guaranteeing quality, not by being the cheapest.
What does your porting process actually look like?
We follow a strict, transparent process:
1) Analysis: A deep dive into your source code, assets, and engine to identify all potential risks and optimization areas.
2) Adaptation: This is the core work of integrating new platform SDKs, and completely adapting controls and game UI/UX design to feel native.
3) Game Performance Optimization: The most critical phase. Continuous profiling of CPU, GPU, and memory to hit stable performance targets.
4) QA & Device Compatibility Testing: Rigorous testing to ensure a bug-free, polished, and fully compliant release.
How is pricing structured? Fixed Price vs. Time & Materials (T&M)?
We offer both, but we are transparent about the risks. A Fixed Price (FP) is best for very small, clearly-defined projects. However, for most porting, a Time & Material (T&M) model is fairer and more flexible. Porting always reveals unforeseen technical challenges. T&M allows us to adapt to these challenges transparently without cutting corners on quality, ensuring you get the best possible product.
